I'm Debi.  Wife, mother, crochet lover, coffee addict and big fat nerd.

 

Don't get me wrong, knitting is awesome too, but I'll figure out how to knit properly after I crochet everything first.

 

I learned how to crochet, and knit, when I was around 9 years old and I've done crochet off and on over the years. Mostly off.  Every once in awhile I'd get back into the craft store, usually looking for cross stitch, and I'd find some crochet pattern I couldn't live without and I'd get back to crochet.  Now with so many patterns, blogs, fancy yarns, etc., it's hard to stay away from.

I remember when I was starting college and I had to take Calculus.  The professor I had informed us that most people drop his class before the end of the semester...and he seemed rather proud of this fact.  Ok, sounds like a good challenge, bring it on, right?  This professor liked to write math formulas that literally covered the length of the board and the board was the length of the wall.  And yes, most people dropped his class, including myself.  Otherwise I would have failed.  I had no idea what he was talking about. 

 

The next time I took a calculus class it was with a different professor.  This professor had a much different method of teaching.  He actually made sense.  He broke it down so that anybody could understand.  His goal was not to have everyone drop his class.  He wanted us to learn.

This is also my goal.  I'm hoping that I can explain things so that people can learn how to crochet.  I literally want to convert everybody to crocheters.  You can do other crafts, but learn how to crochet too! LOL
