Off to the big nerd con! I mean Comic Con!
No, this not me, but it is a kewl looking Darth Maul. #TampaBayComicCon #TampaComicCon
Unfortunately, this is the only picture I was able to get since my daughter was too freaked out by most of the really good looking costumes for me to be able to ask people if I could take their picture. However, she LOVES Darth Maul. I'm not sure how freaked out I should be about that. She's never seen the movie, but she's seen the action figure and I guess she's intrigued by the horns and the red face.
I also got to see Brent Spiner...and stare at him from a distance. But it was fun anyway. It's not often you get to see someone in person that you've seen on TV or the big screen.
There was a NASA exhibit. The highlight of which was some NASA stickers and some cut out pieces to make a VAB, a mobile launcher, a crawler transporter, and the "scaffolding" for a rocket. A little tricky to glue some of this stuff together, but I appreciated the effort because it gave me some ideas to crochet things. Because, of course, everything is made better with some yarn.
They are coming in handy for use with her train set. They are fun little objects for her to deliver by train to the VAB (NASA building) so they can be put together to launch a rocket.
Added to my future list of things to work on are now some trees, buildings, boat dock, etc to go with her train set. Oh my.
What will you crochet today?
