One of the cutest hat designs ever.
I know exactly where this pattern came from because it's from one of my favorite sites to get patterns and ideas from, Ravely.com, Repeat Crafter Me.
Easy pattern, straight forward instructions. look around her site, she's go a lot of great stuff available.
I did wind up making the hat a smidge bigger than needed, but that just means she'll grow into it, right?
I would up using a different color for the main part because they didn't have the Oatmeal available at Jo-Ann's when I went there and I wanted to start working on it RIGHT NOW. You know what I mean.
I got a darker color of Vanna's Choice. I really like Vann'a Choice yarn because it's soft, nice to work with, and the colors are so nice. You see the little "flecks" in the yarn? It looks like it matches the pink that's in the border, but it actually doesn't. That's one of the things that's so fun with this yarn, it looks like it picks up color from other yarn you're using. Vanna's Choice has a lot of good choices.
I also have my eye on Repeat Crafter Me's crocheted owl hats.
Did I mention you should spend some time looking around her site?
